ABOUT ANU SHAH

Anu Shah is a global technology and business professional whose career spans consumer brands, consulting, entrepreneurship, venture capital, corporate technology, and social impact across multiple continents. Anu began her professional journey at an early age. Around the age of 20, she left home to pursue her first job at a call center in Mumbai, earning approximately ₹6,000 per month. This formative experience shaped her independence, resilience, and long-term ambition to build a global career grounded in hard work and adaptability.

She subsequently transitioned into the FMCG sector, where she worked in sales and marketing roles and steadily rose through the ranks. Through hands-on experience in market execution, consumer insights, and brand strategy, Anu moved into marketing leadership positions and later became Brand Manager for Frooti at Parle Agro, one of India’s most iconic consumer brands. Her time in FMCG provided a strong foundation in operating discipline, brand building, and commercial strategy.

Seeking to deepen her strategic capabilities and global exposure, Anu pursued postgraduate education in the United Kingdom and earned her MBA from the University of Leeds on a full merit-based scholarship. This milestone marked a pivotal transition in her professional trajectory.

Following her MBA, Anu built a diverse international career spanning mergers and acquisitions, strategy consulting, entrepreneurship, venture capital, and corporate technology roles. She has lived and worked across major global markets including Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, San Francisco, and New York, gaining experience across corporate, startup, and investment ecosystems in both developed and emerging economies. As part of her corporate career, she has held product and technology leadership roles at Meta and Amazon, working on large-scale, consumer-facing and advertising technology platforms.

Alongside her professional work, Anu has been actively engaged in philanthropy and social impact, with a focus on education, entrepreneurship, food security, and refugee rehabilitation. She has collaborated with nonprofit and international organizations, including programs connected with the United Nations, and has worked on refugee rehabilitation initiatives in Rwanda, supporting programs for Congolese and Burundian refugees centered on livelihoods and economic resilience. She has also contributed to refugee support initiatives in Lebanon through her work with Basmeh & Zeitooneh, which supports Syrian refugees through education, livelihood, and community development programs. In addition, Anu has served on the Leadership Committee of the American India Foundation in New York, contributing to initiatives focused on education, public health, and women’s empowerment in India.

Today, Anu Shah works in corporate technology and product leadership while continuing to engage globally through media, mentorship, and impact-driven initiatives. She is also the founder and host of The Talk Lane, a long-form interview platform featuring conversations with leaders, founders, policymakers, and changemakers on leadership, innovation, ethics, and global perspectives.
